What is Second Life?
Second Life is rapidly becoming the new World Wide Web. It's no longer 'just a game', it's an experience the Internet was built for. The first thing to do in Second Life (or SL for short) is to create an avatar. Your avatar can be humanoid or any creature or object you can imagine! Talk about self expression!

Though SL is free, you can purchase Linden Dollars (L$) for an exchange rate. The exchange rate varies day to day... just like real money, but basically, it's very affordable and you receive L$500 when you sign up. 

Once you're in SL, you literally have a whole world to explore. Stoned Mountain maintains a head shop & meditation area up on a mountain. You can take 'legal drugs' which are audio-visual scripts that are worn on your avatar. They are a fun and trippy way to explore the landscape and meet friends.
